Have you been searching for a taste of Italy right here in North Carolina? Perhaps a cheesy, delicious plate of pasta to get you feeling all warm and good inside? Well luckily, places like Italianno’s Restaurant exist, to provide you with that homey meal we all need sometimes.
Right over in Lincolnton, NC, Italianno’s was established in 2016 to serve the people in the surrounding towns with delicious pizza, pasta, and more. Though Italian cuisine takes the main stage here, Italianno’s makes sure to give everyone options with their burgers, sandwiches, and even cheesesteaks!
A Quick History of Italian Cuisine
It is believed modern Italian cuisine can trace its roots back to the fall of the Roman Empire. Different cities across Italy began to split up and form their own distinct traditions, creating different kinds of breads and pastas that would become the foundation of modern Italian cuisine.
When it comes to pizza, legend has it that the first modern rendition was made in 1889 by Raffaele Esposito. It was garnished with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, to represent the national colors of Italy: red, white and green. Whether the legend of pizza’s birth is true is up for debate, but we don’t think anyone is complaining about its existence!
What Italianno’s Restaurant Can Offer You
All the classics can be found here—Spaghetti Marinara, Fettuccine Alfredo, Ravioli, and more—but you can also find a wide range of different options. Italianno’s makes sandwiches such as the BLT and the heart-warming Chicken Parm Sandwich, and more, satisfying any need you may have.
For meat lovers, Italianno’s has a good variety of chicken and veal, such as the Chicken Marsala or Veal Valentino. For the seafood lovers, they have meals such as the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, a delicious coating of sautéed shrimp atop fettuccine with marinara sauce. Or perhaps the Frutti di Mare, a trio of shrimp, mussels, and calamari, resting on a bed of fettuccine.
