Functional and Stylish Exterior
One glimpse at the Toyota FT-4X Concept and you’ll know this crossover SUV means business! Based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) C-Platform, this vehicle is small enough for maneuvering throughout tight urban spaces while also boasting a muscular and imposing presence that easily distinguishes it from other vehicles in its class. Adding to its utility is a Multi-Hatch in back, which gives you two different ways of accessing the cargo area, including a vertical Outdoor Mode and a horizontal Urban Mode.
Inside the cabin of this concept crossover, you’ll find a number of groundbreaking features and technologies, including dual boxes for warming and cooling different items, an advanced navigation system, and a smartphone mount. In terms of design, a North Face® sleeping bag fits between the front passenger seats, there’s a Clean Zone for front passengers with durable floor mats and door sills, a Wet Zone with all-weather mats, and a Rear Cargo Zone.
One of the most unique aspects of the Toyota FT-4X Concept is the fact that it’s a crossover SUV complete with genuine four-wheel drive (4×4) capabilities and a low-range gear setting. As of right now, there isn’t a determined powertrain for this concept crossover, but we’re told it could reasonably run on a small displacement four-cylinder engine.
