Avoid the service department at Toyota of Gastonia. I brought my vehicle here for an in-depth diagnosis after a local mechanic replaced the EGR valve, spark plugs, and coil packs. I explicitly told the service team these parts were brand new and that I needed them to find the root cause of the issue.Instead of diagnosing the vehicle, they insisted on replacing the spark plugs and coil packs again with their OEM brand. Arrived at dealership at 11:15am to purchase my closed end lease vehicle. Met with sales rep at 1120, he took keys to my vehicle said "I'll be right back" and proceeded to leave me outside with no update for well over 45 minutes. Finally returned to me and said "oh I am so glad you haven't left, im sorry about that, was worried you were going to leave then I realized I still had your keys" nothing happened to my car in that 45 minutes. The absolute worst car buying experience I have ever had.. Salesman promised things that he could not deliver.. Made for a HUGE headache for me and I spent nearly 35,000.00 and they could care less about the woes i am now experiencing.. I have had to escalate this to TOYOTA and as of now still haven’t received any customer services for what has occurred.. Managers Voice mail boxes all always full and not accepting messages ..Total crock of xxxx buying from this place..
Had a wonderful experience with Marcel Black with our Landcruiser 1958. The state to state transaction was seamless and Marcel provided excellent service, was quick to respond and I am 100% satisfied with our purchase. I’ve taken it to our local dealership for an oil change and they actually argue with who will get to drive it.
They will work with you.on your lease and warranty. Great place to get a lease.
I've bought 2 vehicles in the past 5 years. Tracy Surratt was my sales rep and was outstanding. Unfortunately, the service department has not met my expectations recently. Just had a 15000 service for 24 corolla (tire rotation/fluids topped off). Service took 2 hours. Tire that I had to replace while on the road last fall (left rear) was still on the same rim (not rotated). The tire is a different brand and thus let me know that it had not been moved. Will probably have service done elsewhere.
Dealership is convenient geographically, has wifi, and staff is friendly and helpful. Good ambassador of Toyota brand.
Was very satisfied with service. They were friendly and only had to wait 45 minutes. Do not like the new phone system. Like talking with the person of my choice. Makes you feel like they care and not just a number. One of the reasons I buy my cars from Gastonia but this new system will make me stop and think.

Oil change and Tire Rotation
Oil is supposed to be 0W-16, however the invoice lists 0W-20.
I talked to Bryan and he said either oil is fine. He mentioned some vague reference to that in the maintainace manual, however the operators manual is clear. ONLY use if if you HAVE to and switch back at the next oil change, It wouldnt state that if its OK to use 0W-20. So, I took my Camry to Toyota of Gastonia. I wanted a tire 🛞 rotation, oil change 🛢️ and state inspection. The assistant service manager came and told me that the timing belt gasket needed to be replaced at a cost 😕 of $2400.00 because it was leaking. He said it would be covered under warranty but they couldn't find my service records for oil change the past three years. Service Advisor Montreko Gaddy was so honest in advising me that since I do the normal repairs on my 2002 Toyota Camry LE 4cy that he thought my Throttle Body needed to be cleaned. I am so impressed that he is so honest and helpful. I was dreading getting ripped off. Instead I was given helpful advice! What a relief to find an honest employee and dealership! I have confidence in coming back again for service! Thank you!

Never take your vehicles for service and even buy from them, they just do not do a great job there.

I recently purchased my 4th vehicle from Toyota of Gastonia, a new Land Cruiser. My experience with the Sales Manager, Anthony Metzelaars, and my saleman, Devon Lysek, was friendly, courteous, knowledgable and customer service driven. I also had a wonderful experience with Dan Bias who purchases used cars for the dealership. He gave me a very fair offer on my trade. I would encourage anyone seeking to purchase a new or used vehicle to check out the dealership.

My apptvwas 1215. I was there on time. My car wasn't ready until 130. That's too long to wait for an oil change. I was disappointed at how long it took for my oil change.
Check in for service was timely, the waiting area with refreshments was nice and the service was done was done timely as well. Eddie was great about explaining the future recommendations for service.
A dealership is about people. Our experience with our sales representative Devon was excellent! He worked with us through our Purchase decision and we weren’t easy customers. Warning about this dealer! I purchased a used 2024 Ford Mustang, and before completing the cash purchase, I told the salesperson that the vehicle needed to be registered under my company. They said it wouldn’t be a problem. After making the payment, they sent the vehicle, but the paperwork was issued under the name of a completely different person. I’ve been making claim after claim, and I’m not getting any answers. The treatment toward customers is extremely poor. Be very careful! Possible scam.

After my vehicle was totaled by a tree during Hurricane Helene, I found myself car shopping and bought an Acura that must have been a trade-in from Toyota. The test drive was okay and no problems noticed. I picked up my FJ Cruiser yesterday from Toyota of Gastonia's Collision Center. After paying for the work, I realized that the wrong work was performed. I had requested that the front driverside window blackout tape/trim and the rear passengerside windows blackout tape/trim be replaced. However, the collision center replaced the front and rear passengerside windows blackout tape/trim instead. They accepted no responsibility for the error and has attempted to blame for miscommunication what work needed to be done. I have attached screenshots of my initial email to them requesting repairs. Paul was very helpful and pointed me toward a vehicle that knew nothing about but that fit all my criteria, which were numerous and very specific. Really thought I was gonna have to compromise and just deal with my issues, but this vehicle is working well...except for the pathetic 12mpg gas mileage, but I went into that with my eyes open.
Customer service was excellent, the service department was excellent and very helpful. Overall a great experience.

Service Department has lost my business and anybody I can tell to buy or take Toyota to Service Spent $518 on brake job and Mavis had to fix Toyota of Gastonia screw up. I have spent money with this dealership.But not anymore Should have not went back after 1st or 2nd time told them personal info was wrong. They it w as ok..LOL

Helen of Toyota of Gastonia was great. I was clear I was "Just looking" and she was kind enough to text me every few weeks to let me know if the vehicle came in that I've been waiting on to see. Its still not in but wanted to point out she is not pushy or bothersome. My son ended up buying a new vehicle and she was a great help.

This turned out to be the same place where I bought my previous car namely Momentum Mazda which is owned by Toyota of Gastonia now which I didn't know until after I signed the papers!!! They knocked of $500 of the quoted price. They don't give any kind of service warranty for the vehicle for 30 or 60 days which a lot of places do which is a bummer! But I am happy with the purchase overall. Hope the car lives up to my expectations! Antonio Ponder was easy to work with.
Outstanding personal service with technical expertise to match. I wouldn't trust my 2008 Tacoma with anyone else.
