Tire Rotations & Replacements

Two of the most common forms of tire service are rotations and replacements. Each will help keep your vehicle performing at its peak capability and should be performed regularly throughout your model’s life.

Tire rotations will typically occur at the same time that you receive an oil change—every 5,000 miles. The reason you rotate the tires is that not all tires wear evenly. By moving the back right tire to the back left, the back left to the front left, and so on, each tire will wear more evenly, extending the life of your entire set.

Replacing your set of tires doesn’t have to occur as often. Typically, you only have to replace the set every 25,000 to 30,000 miles. That number depends on a few factors, though. If you typically drive fast, that can wear down the tires more quickly. Any exposure to extreme weather can also do the same.
